Constitution Amendment on Transitory Provisions,
2483 Buddhist Era

People’s Representatives dated 4 August 2480 Buddhist Era)

Enacted on the 1st day of October 2483 Buddhist Era
Being the 7th year of the present reign
Whereas the House of People’s Representatives has resolved that it is appropriate to amend the transitory provisions of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand so that they suit the situation;
Therefore, it is commanded, by and with the advice and consent of the House of Representatives, that the following constitution amendment on transitory provisions be enacted:
Section1.This Constitution shall be called the Constitution Amendment on Transitory Provisions, 2483 Buddhist Era.
Section2.This Constitution shall come into force from the day of its publication in the Royal Gazette onwards.
Section3.The provisions of section 65 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand shall be repealed and replaced by the following provisions:
“Section65.For a period of twenty years from the day of coming into force of the Interim Constitution for National Administration of Thailand Act, 2475 Buddhist Era, the House of People’s Representatives is composed of two types of Members in equal numbers:
(1)the First Type Members are those elected by the people in accordance with the conditions provided in section 15 and section 17;
(2)the Second Type Members are those appointed by the Monarch in accordance with the Act on Elections of Members of the House of People’s Representatives During the Time the Transitory Provisions of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand Are in Force, 2475 Buddhist Era.”
