And also for the good: Miriam waited for Moses for one hour, as it states:(Exodus 2:4) "And his sister stationed from afar" - Therefore Israel delayed for her seven days in the desert, as it states: (Bamidbar 12:15) "And the nation did not travel until the gathering of Miriam." Joseph had the merit to bury his father and none of his brothers were greater than him, as it states: (Genesis 50: 7-9) And Joseph went up to bury his father... And the nation went up and also chariots and horsemen" - who of us was greater than Joseph, that none attended him except Moses. Moses had the merit for the bones of Joseph, and none of Israel were greater than him, as it states: (Exodus 13, 19) And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him" - Who was greater than Moses, that none attended him except G-d, as it states: (Deuteronomy 34:6) "And he buried him in the valley." None on Moses alone said, except on all the righteous, as it states: (Isaiah 58:8) "And you go before Hashem and be righteous to honor in Hashem when he will gather."
