The chest of bronze cannons roared
On our chest, on the Polish rampart,
And here before us powerful - enemy!
But over us in heavens God! –
Hurray brothers! together through the God! [2]
On bayonets, on bayonets! –

O breath my last breaths!
Though throw spark in this night shadow.
And from sea of blood – ho! from the bosom of storms
Get up rainbow you! Poland among aurora!
Hurray brothers! etc.

Hey! who shoved in the depths of despair,
Who now despaired in God, in the country and in weapon,
O, even if Deity was not,
Martyrdom would be created
From blood our! – and so on enemy!
In name of Poland! in the name of God!
On bayonets, on bayonets!

O! and not vengeance calls us madness –
Our holy fervour is a wall for guns,
Do not take revenge, not! We go to free,
You enemies, from these fetters of rust!
In name of Poland, in the name of God
Hurray brothers! etc.

Forward, forward, hey, to work!
Poland is not yet lost! [3]
By our death rises from the dead!
And by this [4] gives others life!
So on cannons in the name of God!
On columns, together on enemy –
On bayonets, on bayonets!
