Chapter IX which a soldier with a spear the side of the LORD, him and they also. Also it none the less do Arculf caught sight of a spear, knight, by which the side of the Lord on the cross as they hang upon he had struck down. This is the same with a spear in the porch of the basilica of Constantine of that we find in inserted on the cross of wood, the shaft of whose [et al., Hassale] is cut off into two parts: one in a similar way he kisses the whole of Jerusalem and often repeated and venerates the city.
