 There is no my Angel!
And world so cold and empty...
And all, all around
Whispers me with pale mouths :
There is no my Angel !

Like a lightning ran through dark spaces
In the splendor and honour of martyrdom
And since he disappeared from me,
Him, in deaf pain of the spirit
In vain I call, in vain!

O where you are leading star
           Inspiration of my youth!
O where you are !. . I look for you every day,
Where lie the pearls of remembrance,
And your torch went out!

In heavy, lonely mourning,
Like a flower the heart withers me …
And in cold grave of my chest,
Like a lamp, pale and quiet
Smoulders only the memory of you!

Since on the sacrificial heap
I saw you in the glitter of fires –
Perishing in this bustling crowd
Without a tear... a compassion... an applause...
World disappeared me in black darkness!

Proud dreams fled from the forehead,
           Hands hung powerlessly,
And already nothing will bring back
Moments, which shone as the lightning...
There is no my Angel!

There is no my Angel...
And when me to fight with fate,
Mankind will call into action...
I will answer her with dead voice
There is no my Angel!
