Excellency,
I have the honour to acknowledge receipt of Your Excellency's Note A-631-D-2714 of 9th December in which you are good enough to inform me that, in agreement with the Ministry of Hacienda, Public Credit, Industry and Commerce, the Salvadorean Government, taking into account the happy and cordial relations existing between His Majesty's Government and the Government of El Salvador, are pleased to agree to the renewal, for one more year, from the sixteenth of this month, of the Commercial Modus Vivendi celebrated between this Republic and Great Britain and Northern Ireland; whose provisions will continue to be considered in force with my affirmative reply to Your Excellency's Note.
I am instructed by the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs to agree to this proposal and at the same time to express the gratitude of His Majesty's Government for this further evidence of the friendly and cordial relations which so happily exist between His Majesty's Government and he Government of El Salvador.
I would renew to Your Excellency the assurance of my highest regard and esteem.
