acceptance - The act of an authorized representative of the U.S. Government assuming ownership of existing identified supplies rendered or approving specific services rendered as partial or complete performance of the contract requirements. This includes acknowledging that the supplies or services are in conformity with the applicable contract quality and quantity requirements.
