Chap. ⅩⅩⅥ.—An Act authorizing the erection of a Lighthouse near the entrance of Georgetown Harbor, in the State of South Carolina.
Lighthouse near the entrance of Georgetown harbor.Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby required to cause to be erected, as soon may be, a lighthouse near the entrance of the harbor of Georgetown, in the state of South Carolina, at such place, when ceded to the United States, as shall be most convenient for the navigation thereof; and that a sum not exceeding five thousand dollars, be appropriated for the same, out of any monies not otherwise appropriated: Buoys in Cape Fear river.And that a sum not exceeding one thousand dollars, be appropriated for placing buoys on certain shoals in Cape Fear river, below the town of Wilmington, in the state of North Carolina.
