Chap. III.—An Act authorizing the President of the United States to employ an additional number of revenue cutters.
Additional revenue cutters to be employed not to exceed twelve.
[Obsolete.]Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the President of the United States be, and he is hereby empowered to procure so many revenue cutters, not exceeding twelve, as may be necessary for the public service, the expense whereof shall be paid out of the product of the duties on goods, wares and merchandise imported into the United States, and on the tonnage of ships and vessels.
