Chap. XXXIV.—An Act supplemental to the act intituled “An act for establishing trading houses with the Indian tribes.”[1]

Act of March 2, 1811, ch. 30.Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That a sum, not exceeding forty thousand dollars, in addition to the sum heretofore appropriated for the purpose of carrying on trade and intercourse with the Indian nations, in the manner prescribed by the act, intituled “An act for establishing trading houses with the Indian tribes,” be, and the same is hereby appropriated, to be paid out of any monies in the treasury of the United States, not otherwise appropriated.
Appropriation for an additional clerk in the superintendent’s office.Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the sum of eight hundred dollars be, and the same is hereby appropriated out of any monies in the treasury of the United States not otherwise appropriated, for an additional clerk in the office of the superintendent of Indian trade.
A proviso of a former law repealed.
Act of April 21, 1806, ch. 48.
Continuance of this act and of the one to which it is a supplement.Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That the proviso to the twelfth section of the act, intituled “An act for establishing trading houses with the Indian tribes,” be, and the same is hereby repealed.
Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That the act to which this is a supplement, and also this act, shall, from and after the twenty-first day of April next, commence and be continued in force, and during the term of three years, and no longer.
