Act of 1816, ch. 101.Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That all persons lawfully holding confirmed unlocated claims for land within the tract reserved by the third section of the act, entitled “An act confirming certain claims to land in the Illinois territory and providing for their location,” passed the sixteenth day of April, in the year one thousand eight hundred and fourteen, be allowed until the first day of November, one thousand eight hundred and twenty, to register the same: and the said claims shall be receivable in payment for public lands within the said reserved tract, conformably with the provisions of the said act, and of the act, entitled “An act making further provision for settling claims to land in the territory of Illinois,” passed the twenty-sixth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and sixteen, at any time before the first day of November, one thousand eight hundred and twenty.
