Chap. XLVII.An Act relating to treasury notes.[1]

No treasury notes to be received in payment, or paid, or funded, except at the treasury.Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, from and after the passing of this act, no treasury note shall be received in payment on account of the United States, or paid, or funded, except at the treasury of the United States.
