Chapter I.—An Act making a partial appropriation for the year one thousand eight hundred and twenty-four [five.]
265,000 dollars appropriated for the Senate and House of Representatives.
1825, ch. 13.Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the sum of two hundred and sixty-five thousand dollars be, and the same is hereby, appropriated, for the compensation granted by law to the Senate and House of Representatives, and to the officers and clerks, and servants of both houses of Congress, and for defraying the contingent expenses thereof; and that the same be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
