Chap. XIV.—An Act making an appropriation for the purchase of books and furniture for the use of the library of Congress.
5000 dollars appropriated to purchase books for the library of Congress.Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the sum of five thousand dollars be, and the same is hereby, appropriated out of any unappropriated money in the treasury, for the purchase of books, under the direction of the joint library committee, for the use of the library of Congress.
339 dollars for furniture for the new library.Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the sum of three hundred and thirty-nine dollars be, and the same is hereby, appropriated, out of any unappropriated money in the treasury, for the purchase of furniture for the new library.
