Chap. CIX.An Act to extend the width of the Washington canal.

Washington Canal Company authorized to increase the width of the Washington canal.Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Washington Canal Company be, and are hereby, authorized to increase the width of the Washington Canal, from Seventh street west, to its western extremity, by removing its southern boundary to a distance not exceeding one hundred and fifty feet from its northern boundary; and also to form a basin on the canal between Sixth and Seventh streets west, according to such plan as shall be approved by the President of the United States.
