Chap. CCXX.An Act to authorize the President of the United States to cause the present site of the national mint to be sold, and making an appropriation for completing the new buildings now erecting.

Sales, &c.Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the President of the United States be authorized, and he is hereby authorized, to cause to be sold, at such time, and on such terms as he may deem most conducive to the public interest, the site now occupied by the mint establishment, in Philadelphia, with the buildings and improvements thereon, and also to cause the proceeds of the said sale to be paid into the treasury of the United States.

Appropriation, 50,000 dollars.Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the sum of fifty thousand dollars be, and is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, to be applied to the completion of the mint establishment at the new location, and for furnishing the same with the requisite machinery for conducting the operation thereof.
