Chap. CII.An Act limiting the times of advertising the sales of the public lands.

Sales to be advertised not less than three, nor more than six months.Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That hereafter the public lands which shall be exposed to public sale by order of the President of the United States, shall be advertised for a period of not less than three nor more than six months prior to the day of sale, any thing in any law heretofore enacted to the contrary notwithstanding.
