Chap. XLIX.—An Act for repairing the roof of the court-house in Alexandria.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,Appropriation for covering the roof of the court house with tin. That the sum of five hundred and fifty dollars be, and the same is hereby appropriated, out of any unappropriated money in the treasury, for covering the roof of the United States court-house in Alexandria, District of Columbia, with tin; and that the same shall be expended, or so much of it as may be necessary, under the direction of the Commissioner of Public buildings, who is authorized to contract for the same.
The zinc at present on it to be disposed of.Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said Commissioner of the Public Buildings is hereby authorized and instructed to dispose of the zing with which the court-house in Alexandria is at present covered; and to use the proceeds in part payment of the new covering.
