Chap. LXVII.An Act making appropriations for certain improvements in the Territory of Florida.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,To be expended under direction of Secretary of War. That the following sums be, and they are hereby appropriated for improvements in the Territory of Florida, to be expended under the direction of the Secretary of War, to wit:

Choctawhatchie and Holmes rivers.For removal of obstructions to the navigation of the rivers Choctawhatchie, and Holmes, ten thousand dollars;

Survey for railroad.For survey of routes for a railroad across the peninsula of Florida, three thousand dollars;

Connecting Indian river and Mosquito lagoon.For connecting the waters of Indian river and Mosquito lagoon, at the Haulover, one thousand five hundred dollars;

St. Mark’s river.For removal of obstructions in the navigation of the river St. Mark’s, above its confluence with the Wakulla river, two thousand five hundred dollars.
