Chap. V.An Act for the relief of Abraham Whipple, late a captain in the Navy of the United States.

A pension to Abr. Whipple.Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Navy be, and hereby is directed to place upon the navy list of invalid pensioners of the United States, Abraham Whipple, late a captain in the navy of the United States, who has been disabled in the line of his duty, while in service, that he is unable to support himself by labor; and who shall be entitled to receive one half the monthly pay of a captain in the navy, to commence from the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ten, agreeably to the provisions contained inAct of April 23, 1800, ch. 33.An act for the better government of the navy of the United States.”
