Chap. XXIX.An Act for the relief of John M. Forbes.

Consul’s account to be settled.Be it enacted, &c., That the secretary of state be, and he is hereby authorized to settle and adjust the accounts of John M. Forbes, as consul of the United States at Hamburgh, for moneys advanced by him on account of the United States, and for other incidental expenses relative to the same; and to allow him such sum for losses in exchange, and for interest of money so advanced, and other incidental expenses, as he may deem equitable and just.
