Chap I.—An Act for the relief of Nathaniel Williams.
To be discharged from imprisonment.Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to discharge from imprisonment Nathaniel Williams of Rockingham, in the state of North Carolina, now confined in prison at Rockingham courthouse, on a judgment obtained in favor of the United States, in the district court of North Carolina.
Treasury to give him credit.Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the proper accounting officers of the treasury department be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to place to the credit of the said Nathaniel Williams, the sum of four hundred and twenty-nine dollars, it being the balance which appears on the books of the comptroller due from him, but which he has disbursed for the use of the United States.
