Chap. XVII.—An Act directing the discharge of Lewis Olmsted from imprisonment.
To be discharged from imprisonment.
Proviso.Be it enacted, &c., That Lewis Olmsted, who is now imprisoned in a jail in the state of Vermont, on a judgment at the suit of the United States, by which he was sentenced to pay a fine to the United States, be discharged from his imprisonment: Provided, however, That any estate which the said Lewis Olmsted may have, or hereafter acquire, shall be liable to be taken to satisfy the sentence against him, in the same manner as if he had not been imprisoned and discharged.
