Chap. XLIV.—An Act to authorize the allowance of a credit to William Tarewell.
Allowance to William Tazewell.Be it enacted, &c., That in settling the accounts of William Tazewell, secretary of Elbridge Gerry, late envoy extraordinary from the United States of America to the French Republic, the Secretary of State be, and he is hereby authorized to allow the reasonable expenses incurred by the said William Tazewell, in consequence of his being captured on his return to the United States.
