Chap. XIII.—An Act for the relief of John Steele.

Services as Secretary of the Mississippi territory.Be it enacted, &c., That the proper accounting officers liquidate and settle the account of John Steele, for his services as Secretary of the Mississippi Territory, from the seventh day of May, eighteen hundred ​and two, to the second day of March, eighteen hundred and three, inclusively; and that there be paid to him for his salary and official expenditures, such compensation as is by law allowed to persons acting in that capacity.
