Wikipedia has the following:

Wikipedia notes that the opinion of most is that w:James the Less = w:James, son of Alphaeus. Some people dispute this but that's okay, it's still better than the situation at John the Evangelist.
Jerome says that there are two Jameses:
- w:James, son of Zebedee = James the Greater
- w:James, brother of Jesus = w:James the Less = w:James, son of Alphaeus.
