Colonel W. Thomas (Tom) Cumbie is the Chief Regional Military Judge, Atlantic Region, United States Air Force Trial Judiciary, stationed at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. In addition to his duties as a trial judge, he supervises all courts-martial activity, and judiciary personnel within the Eastern Region, which includes military installations in the Eastern third of the United States.
Colonel Cumbie was born in Gainesville, Florida and raised in Quincy, Florida. He served as a Staff Attorney for the Senate of the State of Florida for three years after graduating law school. Colonel Cumbie was commissioned through the direct appointment program in August 1985 and entered active duty in September of that same year.
