Diary

[edit]

May 25, 2023: I start Translation:On Sweden's Future, a Wikisource translation from a Swedish text. Is this a good idea or not?

March 4, 2017: I upload and proofread Letter on Corpulence (1864) by William Banting.

December 18, 2016: I upload and start to proofread The Stundists (1893), which was scanned by Sweden's Royal Library. It has been almost three years since I last contributed any book here and I try my best to remember how to do it.

January 24, 2014: I contribute The Guilt of William Hohenzollern (1919) by Karl Kautsky, which summarizes the opening of World War I. Various countries issued "coloured books" (white, red, orange, yellow, blue book). Which of these are available online? The work by Italian journalist Luigi Albertini, Le origini della guerra del 1914 (3 volumes, 1941-1942) would be interesting to see online as well, but URAA rules might stop it from appearing on Wikisource.

September 2, 2013: I contribute Historical Account of the Introduction of the Galvanic and Electro-Magnetic Telegraph (1859) by Joseph Hamel.

June 12, 2013: I contribute Man's Machine-Made Millennium (1908) by Hudson Maxim.

February 21, 2012: I learn to use {{TOC begin}}, {{TOC row 1-1-1}}, etc. and {{TOC end}}. These templates make the proofreading of tables of contents so much easier.

February 2012: I'm starting the Statesman's Year-Book (1871, 1899, 1913, 1921, Index pages, transcluded), and The Annual Register (1758, 1899, Index pages, transcluded).

August 2010: I'm proofreading Eskimo Life by Fridtjof Nansen in three languages: Norwegian, Swedish and English. These were scanned by Norway's Nasjonalbiblioteket and all translators and the illustrator are dead since 70+ years.

April 2010: I'm again active on the Swedish Wikisource, trying to proofread newspapers.

March 24, 2009: I start to upload (from the Internet Archive), structure and proofread The Kinematics of Machinery (1876) by Franz Reuleaux.

November 20, 2007: I set up the e-text The Buffalo Public Library in 1983.

October 2005: I operated User:File Upload Bot (LA2) when I uploaded The New Student's Reference Work.
