[edit]- [Copied from Scriptorium] i would tweet, POTM and some @rosiestep WIR referencing, i.e. [[1] and [2]. Slowking4 ‽ SvG's revenge 14:04, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Slowking4: Validation month (POTM) is covered [3], and will be re-tweeted throughout the month. Can you give an example as to what you mean by Women in Red "referencing"? Merely tweeting works by/about women? or do you suggest we include WIR in tweets by name? Have any WIR efforts included the addition of Wikisource authors/works? - as user:rosiestep creates wikipedia biographies, that we support, Woman_of_the_Century, that seems tweet worthy to me. Slowking4 ‽ SvG's revenge 15:20, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Slowking4: I will think of something to tweet for Woman of the Century. Let me know if you can think of any catchy wording. Looks like it is proofread but not fully validated. Londonjackbooks (talk) 16:22, 6 November 2017 (UTC)

- Q: Do you want to include only completed work, or also mention significant works that are starting and could use help? --EncycloPetey (talk) 14:58, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
- @EncycloPetey: Yes to both. For the latter, it would probably be better to primarily focus on expressly collaborative efforts. Some projects are understandably being proofread by a single contributor with an interest in seeing the work to completion themselves, and I wouldn't want to issue a "call to collaborate" in those cases. I have tweeted about the current Community Collaboration on the Eminent Women Series, and will re-tweet on occasion as long as it remains the current Community collab. Do you have any startup projects that you recommend specifically that could be announced? Londonjackbooks (talk) 15:07, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
- i would model tweeting based on the example of https://twitter.com/TranscribeSI - they set the standard. Slowking4 ‽ SvG's revenge 15:20, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Slowking4: Yes, they are rather good. I follow them. I am admittedly not very clever with turning a phrase or coming up with content, which is partly why I have reached out here for ideas. Londonjackbooks (talk) 15:46, 6 November 2017 (UTC)

- Yesterday, I set up Index pages for first editions of two Edith Wharton works: Index:Age of Innocence (Appleton 1920).djvu & Index:Ethan Frome (Scribners 1911).djvu. As I have no personal stake in them, nor time in the coming months to work on them myself, they could be offered. Both are novels, and have their headers and footers set up, so they should be relatively simple works to proofread. None of Wharton's works are backed by a scan, and some of her novels are missing entirely from Wikisource. A number of them aren't even listed in catalogs of major libraries like the LoC and BnF. --EncycloPetey (talk) 15:26, 6 November 2017 (UTC)

- Hi Londonjackbooks. If you, or @Slowking4:, or @EncycloPetey: would like me to tweet anything, just let me know know what and when. Thanks! --Rosiestep (talk) 15:55, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you @Rosiestep:! As for when,—any time! As for what, that is what I am fishing for here :) I would add @Samwilson: and @Billinghurst: to the above pings. They are on the @Wikisource_en "team". I am not sure who else can create tweets. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated, thank you! Londonjackbooks (talk) 16:14, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
- Ok, easy enough for me to do this. I'll include the wikisource url and the ENWP article url when I tweet a "woman of the century" article from my personal account (@Rosiestep) or from the Women in Red account (@wikiwomeninred). --Rosiestep (talk) 16:39, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Rosiestep: Thank you! I personally don't have retweet "rights" (that I know of), only tweet, but perhaps someone can RT some Wikisource-related posts you make in return. I'll inquire when the time comes, and will follow to keep appraised. Londonjackbooks (talk) 16:52, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
- I don't think there's any difference in rights for tweeting and retweeting, you should just be able to reweet anything as @wikisource_en (might have to use the menu on a tweet to do so though, same as liking from any specific account). Sam Wilson 22:30, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks! I'll do some more exploring. Londonjackbooks (talk) 22:46, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
