Requests for press release publishing
Hi. Can you ping me if anyone sends you a request about publishing press releases on the project? We were pinged about this via e-mail about doing it on English Wikinews. Sadly, it does not match with our policies at all because our content must all be newsworthy, verifiable, neutral and match our style guide. Thus, hosting any sort of advertisement, no matter how worthy the cause, is a no go. Would be interested to know if Wikisource gets a similar proposal to advertising related content. --LauraHale (talk) 04:29, 29 April 2013 (UTC)
Accounts
Hi Doug,
It was very good to meet you as well. I hope that I will be contributing to Wikisource as part of future GLAM collaborations; you convinced me of the importance of the project through your presentation on the subject. The other account that you mention is mine as well; I had forgotten about that one. On the English Wikipedia, my username is Neelix, but on all the sister projects, my username is Ambassador Neelix. I would love to have a unified account with everything under the username "Neelix", but I don't know how to go about making that happen. Do you?

Knockin' on your door ^__^
Dear Doug,
Yesterrday I stepped into IRC to notify en.source that, after spending some months working on index pages, I decided to take a little break going back to transcription, and focusing on Index:Alexander_Pope_-_Pastorals_-_en_it_fr.djvu, a trilingual work. I transcribe a page a day, and that's more thanenough, given the bad quality of the scan: a philological puzzle which I like.
It would be nice if some user on en.source could push forward the English part of this text. In the meantime we both can explore the best way to show through {{Iwpage}} English and Italian parts on both domains.
Two little challenges await us: I haven't yet knocked on fr.source's door and I haven't yet transcluded the text in ns0...
That's all, for now. If you want, spread the news in the Scriptotium. -εΔω 05:23, 13 May 2013 (UTC)
Wikisource User Group
Wikisource, the free digital library is moving towards better implementation of book management, proofreading and uploading. All language communities are very important in Wikisource. We would like to propose a Wikisource User Group, which would be a loose, volunteer organization to facilitate outreach and foster technical development, join if you feel like helping out. This would also give a better way to share and improve the tools used in the local Wikisources. You are invited to join the mailing list 'wikisource-l' (English), the IRC channel #wikisource, the facebook page or the Wikisource twitter. As a part of the Google Summer of Code 2013, there are four projects related to Wikisource. To get the best results out of these projects, we would like your comments about them. The projects are listed at Wikisource across projects. You can find the midpoint report for developmental work done during the IEG on Wikisource here.
