1969 U.S. Draft Lottery results

[edit]

I am not sure how the above page qualfies as a work or a historical document under WS:IO. Happy to hear your opinion on why you think that it does. -- billinghurst (talk) 02:44, 15 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hmmph. You appear to be right. It does appear to qualify as "reference material", which, according to this, is excluded from Wikisource. I was not aware of this guideline. Still, it's a bit of a shame - it makes for a nice external link at the bottom of w:Draft lottery (1969). But I won't oppose a deletion request. Itai (talk) 07:55, 15 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
Maybe you could have it considered as a [List of Dates for US Draft Lottery] at Wikipedia, as it would may be encyclopaedic in that regard. I will move the page to the subpage User:Itai/1969 U.S. Draft Lottery results, and we can remove it after you have extracted/copied the data that you want. Another alternative is to put it at one of the genealogy wikis as that sort of data would have relevance in that perspective. Possibly it may be also be a page that could belong under a Portal: at WP. -- billinghurst (talk) 09:12, 15 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
Moving the page to a subpage of my user page seems like a good idea, and I think I'll let it stay there for the time being. I don't think this belongs on Wikipedia, and I am not familiar with the genealogical wikis. Maybe some day we'll have a "Wikidata" within whose scope this list would fall, but, for now, consigned to a subpage it shall remain. Itai (talk) 10:12, 15 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
