Add topicHey Jonathan!
Thanks so much for your work!! And no problem about the messy text, the red sign we always put up when a translation is actively in progress, and I don't mind putting it into a standard format at all :)
Keep up the good work! --Jdavid2008 04:06, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

Congratulations. I put a user box on your User page stating that you have completed one or more translations of whole books. :) Arlen22 (talk) 17:33, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
Thanks Arlen22. Have modified the box too! Jonathan Gallagher (talk) 23:04, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
Mark 10:13
[edit]Mr. Gallagher--the phrase "told them off" in Mark 10:13 is, for me, an excellent example of why people keep making new Bible translations. I've been formatting the verses and so on in your work, and I need to say that you do an excellent job of transferring ancient thought into regular everyday language. Bravo! - Many thanks for the comment! One reason I really wanted to get into this was when I was reading J.B. Phillips NT translation (one of my real favorites for its contemporary voice) and read a line of Jesus saying, "My good fellow..." Realizing that we are now 50+ years on, and that nobody talks like this anymore, encouraged me to get busy. I'll work on more as I have time. Best, Jonathan.
