Hello, Mathieugp, welcome to Wikisource! Thanks for your interest in the project; we hope you'll enjoy the community and your work here. If you need help, see our help pages (especially Adding texts and Wikisource's style guide). You can discuss or ask questions from the community in general at the Scriptorium. The Community Portal lists tasks you can help with if you wish. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me on my talk page.

Mathieugp, this may not make any sense to you, but I think I may know you. I'm from Mathcamp, please reply on my talkpage if that makes sense. - Politicaljunkie 14:55, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

translations

[edit]

Hi Mathieu, thanks for doing translation. I have updated one of your translations to say it is a "wikisource" translation, but that may not be correct. We have two types of translations: published translations, and wikisource translations. If your translation was been published in print, could you record that in the notes field.

Also, could you add a license tag at the bottom of the page; either {{PD-release}}, {{GFDL}}, or another license you prefer. John Vandenberg 23:37, 13 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I dont think we have any specific place where translation proof reading is requested. If you think it is necessary, request it at Wikisource:Requests for assistance, or ask specific questions on WS:S, or ... if you think the translation is finished, add it to {{New texts}} and it will end up on the front page, which will hopefully attract a few English proof readers to it. The FLQ Manifesto

[edit]

The FLQ Manifesto is a dup of FLQ Manifesto which was deleted due to Wikisource:Possible_copyright_violations/Archives/2006-04#FLQ_Manifesto, because the translator is not known. It is a copy of this, which says the translation is by James Boake; unless he has released it into the public domain, it is a copyright violation. Are you able to contact him to ask him whether he will release his translation? John Vandenberg (chat) 03:46, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Category:Quebec authors

[edit]

As a heads up, I added this category to the deletion page. Wild Wolf 22:49, 25 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

email notifications

[edit]

Hi, after a proposal to enable email notification, Wikisource is now able to notify you of any changes to pages on your watchlist and/or changes to your talk page. In order to take advantage of these features, you need to enabled them in your preferences. --John Vandenberg (chat) 14:48, 18 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Canada

[edit]

I love almost every work you add to the project, they're terribly interesting snippets of Canadian history. Please do make sure you list them all at Wikisource:Canada or one of its sub-indexes though so visitors interested in Canadian history can find them!
