Please, don't quit over this. Most of us have submitted works that have ended up being copyright violations; copyright is very annoying, which is why we are building this collection of copyright free works - so that our readers know that if it is hosted on Wikisource, it truly is free of copyright. If you dont want to deal with copyright, there are many transcription projects which have already been check for copyright; for example, Index:Best Russian Short Stories.djvu. As an example to you, and to share how frustrating I know it is, my userpage is a list of all the dozens of works I've added which have been deleted over the years. The good news is though, slowly, we can fight to have them re-added over time. You'll be able to come back triumphantly waving a copyright release from the author, or having found a different translator of Pushkin against whom nobody can argue.
