- Welcome to the project, glad to have another hand on board. The best suggestion is to find a topic that interests you, whether that's Portal:Ancient Egypt, Portal:Pirates or Author:Leo Tolstoy. Often these pages will display broken links to works we don't host yet...but will include a link to somewhere on the net the work is hosted. From there, it's just a lot of copy/pasting :) If you're still unable to find anything, consider watching the pages in my signature to see what each week's "collaboration" is, and see if you want to chip in and help us improve our collection of works by this historically important author! - Bibliomania, like many public domain collections, likes to throw shall we say "fake" copyright notices around - claiming that "the HTML of their site is copyrighted" - which may arguably be true, but the story they are hosting is not copyrighted. (as a note, see Short Stories | Nikolai Gogol | Old-Fashioned Farmers | Page 1 and notice the arrow to click, to go to the second page of that work on the Bibliomania site)
- It's a little more difficult here, because Bibliomania doesn't list who the original translator was, but we know it isn't them, and since they are a collection of public domain works, we can in good faith assume the copy is as well. Most likely some other editor will add the copyright information to your work when he comes across it in a library somewhere. - Not at all, all our texts are in English, so with things like Gogol, Victor Hugo or Juliius Caesar, we either find translations made before 1923 (the easiest way), or make them ourselves (typically only for very short articles) Sherurcij Collaboration of the Week: Author:Nikolai Gogol 03:10, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
No worry
[edit]I'm getting Radio Boys Cronies from Gutenberg.
