LAWSON, Eric St. John (BANGKOK), Commissioner of Police; b. June 24, 1869. Educ.: Westminster School. Joined Burmah Police, April, 1891; transferred to N. W. Provinces and Oudh on promotion, Aug., 1893; on famine work in addition to other duties, in Banda District, Bundelihund, 1896-97; services favourably mentioned in minute of Government, issued at close of famine; services placed at disposal of Government of Siam by Government of India, Oct., 1898; promoted to commissioner, March, 1902.
