RUSSELL, Wilmot Peregrine Maitland (CHUNGKING), B.A.; H.B.M. Acting Consul; b. June 6, 1874. Educ.: Rugby School; Exeter Coll., Oxford. Appointed a Student Interpreter in China, March 1, 1898; was at Peking during siege of Legations 1900; acting Consul at Wuhu, 1903; acting Consul, at Hankow, 1903; acting Consul at Chungking, since Nov. 11, 1904.
