2005-09 admin
- I request adminship too. I've found various tasks I could take care of myself as an admin, instead of asking others. I'm bureaucrat at he.wikisource.Dovi 15:41, 14 September 2005 (UTC)

2008-01 resignation
Hello to all! English Wikisource has grown by leaps and bounds in the past couple of years, and has become and an active website bursting with content and community activity.
While I am extremely happy to see all this positive activity, it has become ever more clear to me that I cannot possibly keep up with it. As it is, Hebrew Wikisource has become a lot more active in the past year, and I hardly manage to keep up with everything going on there (a much smaller website), given work and family responsibilities. So I have chosen to devote most of my time and energy to that wiki (where despite the increased activity there is still a serious need for manpower).
In principle, I do not believe that an administrator needs to be a wiki-superman making hundreds or thousands of edits per year; let him use admin tools if and when he needs to. Nevertheless, when unable to make more than a few contributions per year and rarely if ever needing admin tools, it becomes a bit silly to retain the position. So with enormous repect for the wonderful community of librarians, proofreaders, and web-publishers that has developed here over the past couple of years, I would like to officially step down. I still hope to be able to make useful contributions in the future, and wish everyone at this project the best of luck. Dovi 20:02, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for your good work. Sorry that you don't have the time to participate more. Yann 12:35, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Good work; I'm sure you will be welcome back if you change your mind. My encounter with Dovi goes back to when the Hebrew Wikisource became the first of the separate language Wikisources, and his loyalty to the concept has certainly been proven. Eclecticology 19:16, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for all you have done. Please don't be a stranger here. As we grow more rapidly the memory and the advice of those whose experience is measured in years becomes more valuable.--BirgitteSB 14:27, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for your efforts here, and good luck with the Hebrew Wikisource. John Vandenberg 17:56, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- I haven't seen much of you, but the others seem to think well of you, so I'm sorry to see you go, and wish you luck with the Hebrew Wikisource. Cowardly Lion 02:24, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose. We shouldn't let Dovi get away that easily. Quadell 15:46, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- Best wishes.--Poetlister 16:42, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- It's very sad to see you go, Dovi, although I do understand where you are coming from. I hope you pop in every now and then and help out the project. Good luck with the Hebrew WS!—Zhaladshar (Talk) 03:10, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
