2006-02 admin (withdrawn)
I would like to ask if I could be made and admin. As you know I have contributed to Wikisouce over some time now and in a substantial way. Also, I believe I have something special to offer since I have a BS in computer science and experience in Information Systems. Thank you for you consideration --Droll 22:49, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
- Support, but while I check your edit counts at http://tools.wikimedia.de/~kate/cgi-bin/count_edits , it will be much better if you make more useful edits at project pages (those prefixed "Wikisource:") or their talk pages to show your understanding of policies here.--Jusjih 07:41, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
- Comment: You say that you have something 'special' to offer as an administrator without specifying what that is; do you have any goals as an admininistrator, any projects that would be aided by adminship? —{admin} Pathoschild 17:12, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
- Support. Responsibility and good taste proven through hundreds of positive improvements to author pages, plus a good number of actual texts. Dovi 19:20, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

- Moderate support - my only nit-pick is that Droll doesn't get involved in community-wide, general discussions. He has, however, done a fantastic job with a lot on the maintenance/housekeeping side.—Zhaladshar (Talk) 00:25, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
Neutral— I have no doubt that Droll is a good contributor to Wikisource, but I'm a little apprehensive about adminship. His tone in recent comments on my talk page2 was unnecessarily agressive and possessive. Although he apologized when I pointed this out, I've seen similar attitudes lead to too many conflicts and problems on Wikipedia.
Droll has almost no edits to the project namespaces[1], which may indicate either a lack of knowledge of Wikisource's policies and guidelines or a lack of project participation. He also appears to have been completely unaware of recent discussions at the Scriptorium2; I feel that being aware of recent changes and events is critically important for an administrator.
With unanimous support from other users, I have no doubt Droll will be granted adminship. However, I hope he will consider the points I've brought up here and improve them as he sees fit to do so. —{admin} Pathoschild 06:08, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
I have decided to withdraw my nomination. I would like to thank those have supported me. I want to assure everyone that my reasons are personal and not related to anything to do with Wikisource. I will still be around. Thanks again.- The nomination cannot be withdrawn unless the user is signed in and withdraws the nomination. It's the only proof we have that this request is coming from the actual user.—Zhaladshar (Talk) 04:43, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
