Protection requests
December 2010
- I'm aware that this is outside usual process, but it is an unusual case. Several sections of Our American Holidays - Christmas are scheduled to be linked from the English Wikipedia Main Page (via "Did You Know") from approximately 18:00 through 24:00 UTC on 12/25/2010. This will probably bring far more than usual traffic to these pages, and I wanted to make users here aware of it and suggest that you may consider semi-protecting those pages during that time. The specific linked items will be Our American Holidays - Christmas/The Christmas Goose at the Cratchits', Our American Holidays - Christmas/Christmas (Irving), and Our American Holidays - Christmas/Is there a Santa Claus? - Done Thanks for the heads-up. Other admins may wish to consider whether we more broadly protect the work. I don't think that we have issues protecting pages that are being exposed to increased chance of vandalism. — billinghurst sDrewth 16:21, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
