File: Battleship Potemkin (1925) with English subtitles.webm
Author: Sergei Eisenstein
Publisher: Mosfilm
Year: 1925
PD: PD/US|1948
Note: A 1925 Soviet silent drama film; it presents a dramatization of the mutiny that occurred in 1905 when the crew of the Russian battleship ''Potemkin'' rebelled against its officers. In 2012, the British Film Institute named it the eleventh-greatest film of all time. The date and translator of the English subtitles are unknown. By consensus, the English title is ''Battleship Potemkin'', even if the first title of this version names it ''"The" Battleship Potemkin''.
