Wikisource:WikiProject U.S. Supreme Court cases/Categorization
Appearance
All Supreme Court cases should be categorized by topic. There are many Supreme Court cases, so we should try to organize them in some meaningful way. Good categorization will make Wikisource a more powerful research tool.
Category tree
[edit]Automated categorization
[edit]- See BenchBot's Automated Categorization script for more information
Currently, User:BenchBot is importing Supreme Court cases and automatically assigning categories based on text found in the syllabus section of each case. BenchBot applies a category to the syllabus and the opinion of the court, but does not automatically categorize concurrences or dissents.
Also
[edit]- Automated categorization is an imperfect process, so if the page is added to any topic category, it is also added to Category:Automated categorization.
- If the case is not added to any topic category, it is added to Category:Uncategorized United States Supreme Court decision
Improving categorization
