Title
[edit]Wikisource: Community Feedback for Next-Gen Tools
Objective
[edit]This session aims to engage Wikisource users and community members in a collaborative discussion, aligned with the theme. The primary goal is to gather feedback on their experiences, identify challenges, and explore ways to improve the tools and technical infrastructure supporting Wikisource. By addressing these areas, we aim to enhance the user experience, promote new and existing tools, and make Wikisource more accessible and widely known within the broader Wikimedia movement.
Agenda
[edit]- Engage in a 45-minute discussion to collect feedback and experiences from Wikisource users.
- Understand technical challenges faced by the community and potential improvements.
- Assess requests for new tools or support with current tools.
- Offer guidance on using existing tools more effectively.
- Identify and prioritize key challenges to focus on during upcoming hackathons, fostering collaboration in resolving these issues within the technical community.
Outcome
[edit]By the end of the session, we aim to compile a list of key community feedback and use it to prioritize technical enhancements. These insights will help shape future projects in hackathons and promote collaboration within the technical community to address the identified challenges.
Format
[edit]An informal meetup may be a 45-minute discussion where participants share their views, and we collaboratively explore solutions.
