ANOMOEANS, a name by which the pure Arians were distinguished in the fourth century, from the Semi-Arians. The word is taken from $\mathrm {A} \nu \mathrm {o} \mu \mathrm {o} \iota \mathrm {o} \sigma$, different, dissimilar. ^[1]See Arians.
