DASHWOOD. (Lieutenant, 1833.)
George Frederick Dashwood entered the Navy 7 Oct. 1819; passed his examination in 1825; obtained his commission 3 Dec. 1833; and served from 25 Sept. 1835, until 1837, latterly as First-Lieutenant, in the Sulphur surveying-vessel, Capts. Fred. Wm. Beechey and Edw. Belcher, on the South American station. He has since been unemployed.
