Zhu Yuanzhang (朱元璋) also known as the Hongwu Emperor (洪武帝) for the era name of his reign, was the founder and first emperor of China's Ming (明) dynasty, posthumously known as Emperor Taizu of Ming (明太祖) by temple name.
