Contributor to The Original?
[edit]George Cunningham may have been "G. C.", the contributor of translations (and original stories) to William John Thoms' weekly periodical The Original (1832). One original G. C. story "A Singular Passage in My Own Life" may be able to confirm/dispel this. --YodinT 14:11, 7 February 2024 (UTC)
- G. C. also wrote "Some Account of the Death of Morgan O’Doherty". Since Morgan O’Doherty was a pseudonym that became associated with William Maginn, it shows G. C. either was Maginn, or knew him. --YodinT 20:06, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- Have found a source that shows G. C. was George Cowie, not Cunningham. See Author talk:George Cowie. --YodinT 20:59, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
