Obituary
[edit]On 31st April. Herr James David Haas—translator of Kohlranseh’s “History of Germany,” and many other works, a distinguished teacher of German, a man of great industry, amiable habits, and love of learning—died, at 134, George street, Glasgow. He was endeared to an extensive and intelligent circle of friends by his good qualities and genial intellectuality.
