Corrupt images

While we're on the discussion, are the latter two images at Zodiac_Killer_letters#August_4th_1969 not working for a reason? Sherurcij 04:19, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

Dates of publication

These are almost certainly {{PD-US-no-notice}}. However we really should collect the date of publication to be "dotting the i's and crossing the t's". The desk carving is likely uncopywritable and I suggest using {{PD-manifesto}}.--BirgitteSB 16:35, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

Other than the desk carving, all were printed in newspapers...thought most of them mentioned that, I'll take a look on Tuesday when I have more time, try to fix up the headers on ones that are unclear. As per Birgitte, you mean affixing a separate tag for each letter, or just throwing both templates at the bottom of the articlespace? "October 5th 1970" does not list where it was mailed to. Other that I think the letter mailed to Melvin Belli is a copyvio and that the rest are fine as {{PD-US-no-notice}} from my current understanding of the issue. --BirgitteSB 05:42, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

Crimelibrary reports that Belli widely publicized his contact with the Zodiac Killer - which of course doesn't 100% prove beyond any doubt that the letter was published in the newspapers, but I think it's a safe presumption that Belli released the letter in his attempts for publicity, in 1969, meaning it would also qualify for {{PD-US-no-notice}}. Google says the October 5th one was mailed to the San Francisco Chronicle Sherurcij ^{(talk) (λεμα σαβαχθανει)} 01:44, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Family Guy using a letter from zodiac as a base for a song

I just noticed, while reading the Zodiac letter from July 26th 1970, that the text was familiar and i heared it somewhere. I then remembered. The family guy song from stewie: 'the list'. The first lines of the song are copied word by word from the letter, and, as in the letter, there is repeatedly sung: 'none of them be missed'.

Desk Poem

It's now largely believed by the majority of researchers and law enforcement that the "Riverside Desktop Poem" was unrelated to the killer, and was instead just a poem by either a Suicidal female student or a male student writing a very disturbing poem, however, it doesn't match up to the details of the "Cheri Jo Bates" murder which it was originally linked to, and though it was discovered in December '66, its a completely up in the air as to when it was actually written. Several students with the initials R.H. attended Riverside College between 1957-1966 so it's likely the poem was written by one of them. MattiasThatch 10:08, 24, February 2019 (UTC)
