Ἠλέκτρα (Ēlektra, Latin: Electra) is a tragedy by Sophocles and was first performed circa 410 BCE. The play recounts the tale of Electra and the vengeance that she and her brother Orestes take on their mother Clytemnestra and stepfather Aegisthus for the murder of their father, Agamemnon.
